In addition, there are many places to fish, kayak, explore and more within a few miles of our place.
A great place to stay while attending concerts at the Cavern or other events nearby.
There are over 30,000 acres, 85 miles of trails, waterfalls, and breathtaking mountain views in the South Cumberland State Park.
In addition to Greeter Falls, the Great Stone Door is just a few miles down the road. A variety of hikes with different levels of difficulty are available from any trailhead.
Waterfalls are abundant in the South Cumberland State Park and several more well known areas include the Fiery Gizzard trail, Savage Gulf, and Lost Cove. Kayak, canoe, and fish in Grundy Lakes.
Friends of South Cumberland State Park provide many events, tours, and projects to improve the park.
Other public places to fish include Collins River (muskie), Big Creek Lake, Elk River, Barren Fork River, Normandy Lake, and more. The park is in the process of opening up a new area with another large lake that is 3 miles or so from our property.
There are motorcross events and various craft and other fairs and events during the year.
Fall is a very beautiful time of the year on the plateau. October is prime time to see the awesome colors.
The Caverns and Bonaroo are nearby and many places to eat and enjoy can be found in the Monteagle and Sewanee areas.
